i got the dawn of war gold with both games. dow and wa.
when i go to install the patches it says the game is not the right thing. i even got the very first one and that didnt work. tried al the other patches and they didtn work. i really want the patches cuz i like to mod. WHAT DO i do???

If you have DoW gold then you are patched up to 1.40, you need to install patch 1.41 followed by 1.50.

ya it uh it didnt work at all. it still says the same thing. that the game is out of date and i need to be patched to the right one. i downloaded path 1.40

Your need to download and install the v1.41 patch, not 1.40. After that, v1.5. The easiest way to do this is to log on to Gamespy(start the game, select multiplayer, select internet).
