From what I gather this is sort of an uncommon problem with WA/DoW: That accursed beeping noise that happens at what I'm going to assume is the beginning of a sound loop. It is especially prevalent during heavy firefights and vehicle idling loops, but it is unescapable. It's just a regular beep. In the army painter, when looking at a Predator tank or a vehicle of most kinds, it is a cyclical beep. The tank idles and rocks back and forth, and on each rock back and forth it beeps.
beep. beep. beep. beep. beep.
I've read a few threads here, and I've tried everything thus far: Reinstalling the game, reinstalling my sound drivers (I have an nf3 based board, so the AC97 codec isn't applicable here as far as I know, even though I DID try that.) reinstalling my motherboard drivers, updating dawn of war, downgrading it to 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.41, 1.5, and no matter where I put the version, or what driver I stuck on there, it's still around. And my god, I am so tired of having to turn my volume off for matches of DoW with my buddies. It's just not the same, and it aggravates me deeply.
Included hither are some filez for the people who need to read them.
