So...to give a basic understanding of the situation, my current computer is dying on me(its old), and until I get a new one, which I'm goign to do fairly soon, I'm stuck with a problem where if i play most any game in fullscreen mode, exiting or alt-tabbing out causes my computer to just give me a black screen. Most of the time, i can still alt-tab back into the gave though. I generally avoid the situation by just playing in windowed mode.

When I installed the game (using gold edition), I checked windowed mode on the rendering test and everything was gravy. However, afterwards i wanted to try seeing what the game would look like with a different resolution, and now it's stuck in fullscreen mode and I don't know how to get back to windowed mode. Is there a way besides reinstalling?
