Ironically it took the DC demo to show me. I turn the shadow effects all the way up in DOW and I still don't get building shadows, only unit shadows. I thought it was normal and the game just adjusted performance since I have a below spec machine, but the DC demo displayed building shadows no prob and it ran OK.

So is there anyway to force building shadows? Is there something I should know.

The hardware that I have doesn't matter in this case, since there's no change except the Demo does shadows and WA and DOW doesnt.

From the above, the Demo got better frames for the test, could that be why it applied shadows and WA didn't?

I can only guess that it's somehow related to your graphics card. Full shadow detail has always worked for me, bugs and all...(originally with a 6600 GT and now a 7800 GS).

Thanks for posting, but I hope I get a better response than yours, since you're not sure how to help me, and you've only succeeded in making me jealous. :soul:Gimme that damn video card. :naughty:

Heh, a 6600 GT isn't that expensive nowadays. In any case, I recommend setting shadows to medium aynway, since full shadow detail doesn't work too well, regardless of the graphics card(this (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=105290) is what I'm talking about).

thanks for the heads up, I did notice it at times in the DC demo too, but it was so quick I couldnt really figure out what it was.
