ok so.

when i play dow, in a 1v1 sometimes i jams for a bit and the sounds kind of replays the last 2 seconds
then goes back to normal

in more than a 1v1 (i havnt tried 2v2) it does the same thing but it either, restarts the pc, or else closes to the desktop, with the screen blinking black randomly. and i cant click on anything becuase the pc becomes unresponsive, and if i do manage to open something, it doesnt open but bits and peices of it appear as if i opened it. i tried to open lots of things and found out they overlap

i tried to run a dxdiag but i couldnt cause the pc became unresponve, i managed to open once yet wording and almost 80% of the window was just grey.

now when i play a 1v1 and i exit the game, the pc becomes unresponvie and the same thing happens, forcing me to restart.

Note: it does nto show me any errors and i cannot run a dxdiag. i run a dxdiag lately and everything seemed fine

my grfx card is a 7900gtx with latest drivers
my mobo is a ga 965p ds3 with bios version F1 (somehow i tink that i need to upgrade bios version for it to work)

So what can i do?

note i have all the patches up to 1.4. i had 1.5 before but since i reinstalled i only put the patches up till 1.4

there is the last warnign file, i had just played an eldar vs ork match and afaik this one ran without problems, shall i run a match which has problems?

If you cant run a dxdiag then that suggests that something is very wrong with your computer.

Your symptoms could suggest bad RAM (run memtest86 to test it) or an overheating graphics card (try opening up your case, cleaning out any dust and playing with the case open).

ok but PC is brand new, i have an e6600 cpu just to point out, vga is 7900 gtx

my ram is corsair 2gb(2 1gb sticks)

as for dust i dont get. i have a dust filter in my case.
2 120mm fans and a huge zalman cpu fan(oen of the new ones)
i will check out the ram, and see how i can check out the vga temp. thxs a lot

note i cant run a dxdiag after DOW has screwed up, otherwise i can run a scan perfectly. also i have played other games on full grfx np

were to get my hands on soem software burning stuff. am i dat stupid? i bought a optical drive that can burn yet no lighter. :mean:

I ran a ram test for 10hours and no problems occured. next i`ll try with the case open due to the gpu / vga heating thing. what happens if it`s not over heating either?

Wait, the dxdiag isnt to scan for errors - I just need to see the output. Reboot or whatever, run the dxdiag and paste the results here.

Do i have to do this after DOW crashes or can i just do it after a restart?

It doesn't matter when you run it.

ok, everything there looks good (assuming your drivers are installed properly, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling them if you like). I think updating your motherboard drivers and BIOS is a good idea.

hmm..I am running a e6600 system too and mine restarts the PC as well. I have latest mobo bios version and latest drivers for my graphics card (xt1900 gt)

and titanium, my system looks exactly like yours:
e6600
2 GB crosair RAM
Zalman9500 for the processor
250 GB SATA 3gb/sec 16MB HardDrive
xt1900 GT -256 MB graphics card.
I have the asus p5B mobo by the way.

I have applied all the DOW patches.

well turns out that 0n 9/8 (this past friday) Asus released a patch for the BIOS. for the p5B motherboard.
I installed it a little while ago and no random restarts so far.

Ok so i flashed to F5 for the bios using @bios and i launched the game.
soomehow resolution was weird, as if it changed itself anyways not important.

well i launched a 6v6 free for all(what i remember anyways)
and like 4 seconds into the game it jammed(num lock remains as is even if i try to switch it off, i do this to see if the pc is responding)
well it was jammed.

basicly nothing has been fixed
i waited
after a few sounds kept replaying, then it stopped
then it just restarted itself.

could this be a problem with my system>? it just doesnt match with dow?

note i`m gigabyte not asus

also my HDD is partitioned, and dow is on the 1st one. could this have anything to do with it?
also just to add extra detail i have sata2 not sata

Also, a little something from
W40k_orig.exe caused an Illegal Instruction in module dsound.dll at 001b:73f11478.

To me, looks like a simple uninstall and re-install should fix this. cause some of the folders are missing. suggestions ?

Those 'Warning: Failed to open folder ...' are always there regardless of someone having a problem or not.
