CD Key Woes

I just recieved a copy of Dawn of War and Winter Assault from a friend of mine (he didn't want it in college) and when I go to play online, it says that my cd authentication has failed. I've checked to make sure the cd-keys were in properly with REGEDIT from Run. Could someone please help me resolve this problem, as I'm a bit psyched to play on multiplayer.

Are you sure the key 100% matches the one in your manual? Did you double-check it, esspecially the Os and zeroes?
