Winter Assualt won't install

I've just got Winter Assualt but when I get round to installing it it claims that i don't have DoW installed, I do have dow installed, registry entries are there, anyway, It's not installed onto my system drive as that only contains windows, it's installed onto my games drive. Anyway I can get it to install?

Edit: DoW is patched to 1.51 both copies are legal copies . I used to have a mates copy of WA installed when I had everything on one hard drive, but since then I've reformatted, partitioned everything and purchased WA.. lame that I can't install it.

Try reinstalling DoW and patching to 1.3 or 1.4, followed by WA. Then apply the remaining patches after WA has been installed.

and yes i got admin acc , i got permission to change registry and freaking yes i tried to reinstall over and over

well i tried to install from 1.0 dow from 1.3 , 1.4 , 1.5 , 1.51 still dondt work.

the strange thing it looks like it works fine , then close before finishin installation. it just says no dow there install plz before you gonna do da winter assault crap =)

looks like some ppl got those problems.

well german support is pretty crap , maybe anybody can help me plz ? thx for the answers ! =)
