dark crusade wont recognize gold edition cd key

Hey my copy of dark crusade wont recognize my gold edition cdkeu to unlock all races in multi player what should i do

Ok that gold edition key, how many characters does it have?

Is it in four or five groups?

I have the same problem. I bought the Gold Edition today, and I realized I cant even go online with that either. I'm taking the CD-Key straight off the back of the manual.

There are 2 numbers, one is for DoW and one is for winter assault. I am positive I am putting in the right numbers, but they dont work online.

Dark crusade works fine.
So does Winter Assault.

But I cant unlock races for Dark Crusade because the CDKey doesnt work.

I'm having the same problem, won't recognize my gold edition DoW key.

Not here to mess around, but ... I have that problem too. It says "CD authentication failed" when I try to connect to Dark Crusade multiplayer, it does not specify on which expansion. By the way, my vanilla DoW came from jumbo pack (=Poster+ T-Shirt+ vanilla DoW+ Mouse Pad, no other games attached), my Winter Assult & Dark crusade were brought seperately.

My
W40KCDKEY is 4 groups
WXPCDKEY is 5 groups
DC is 5 groups

They all came from Electronic Bontique, so I am very sure that it's not pirated CD. I could always play DOW:WA online properly. All other parts of the game worked perfectly fine, except multiplayer.

The CD key you entered appears to be invalid.
Thats the error message I get. I triple checked the key to make sure I had it entered in right. Maybe they used a new algorithm with the gold edition key and didn't put it in the dark crusade game. If thats the case they will probably have to make a patch for us.

I got it to work. I made a typo on the key when I installed DoW but it installed anyways. So DC does recognize the gold edition key. You should go check regedit and see if the key you used to install DoW is the same as the key you are trying to enter in DC. The instructions for checking registry is in the sticky post for DC installation.
