Applying AA to DoW?

I wanted to apply 4xAA to Dawn of War games, so I am forcing on nvidia global drivers.

Will this stress my GPU, even when not in games? If I do this route, I plan to take off AA on all other games.

Also, are there any commands or tweaks I should know about to make DoW look its best?

I have a 7800GT, AMD 4000+, and 2GB RAM, so I have more than enough to handle.
