Race sounds not playing?

I've just got my dirty little mits on a copy of DOW:DC and I must say I'm loving it, but I've one little issue.
whenever I'm playing the two new races I just get a "beep" whenever I click a unit etc, rather than that whole "for the greater good" stuff etc.

anyone know what this could be?

Hmmm, there are two explanations. If its the Necrons that arent talking, thats because they arent supposed to, they just make machine-like noises and buzzes. But if its the Tau that are doing this as well, then you must have some corrupt files.

Only thing to do now is to re-install.

poop, I tried re-installing, didn't help
tried un-installing and deleting the DC folder, THEN reinstalling, didn't help
