Do I need to patch DoW to 1.51 which affects DC?

I have installed DoW & patch to version 1.40, then WA at version 1.0, then DC at version 1.0

I can play DC in LAN choosing any of the 7 races.

I just saw there are another 3 more patches for DoW 1.41. 1.50 & 1.51

1. So by patching 1.41, 1.50 & 1.51, does it affect any game balance if I am only want to play DC in LAN & campaign modes? Or the 3 patches only affect DoW and not WA / DC?

2. If the 3 patches do affect the game balance in WA & DC, can I patch them directly? Or do I need to reinstall everything from scratch?

DC is a standalone game. You don't have to patch DoW if you're playing DC.
