Hello oh great ones of the machine..soz I'll start again. Ahem, ..got a tiny but very annoying problem concerning screen ratio.
I did until recently run DOW through a Gforce2 64mb MMX400 and with the wind in the right direction and a little encouragement with the latest unified Nforce drivers got it to run at a fair lick.
However yesterday I thought it was time to do a little upgrading and so went out and bought a fx5200 128mb/DDR which sat in my AGP slots quite happily. However after switching everything on I got no response from the monitor and took my PC back to the shop with the card in it. The guy at the counter set it up saying that Windows XP is a little tempremental at finding new hardware in some cases.
Got it home and tried to run DOW, and although it ran perfectley on the shops LCD monitor, on mine I got a portion of the screen with the intro details on it, as though it was trying to strech the image to fit a much bigger screen.
I ran the GConfig utility but the same thing happened until I ticked the Run In Window box, then everything was fine..apart from I dont want to run it in a window.
Cant convince the blessed thing to fit the screen once the game starts up, and ye I have done all the usual basic stuff like changing screen resolution but it still happens.
I would really love some pointers on this one, and would be grateful for any help you could give me.

It might be worth noting that when I ran the Direct3d test in DXdiag it to displayed the cube streched and offset just as dawn of war is doing - is this a task switching problem applicable to the monitor and not the software..just so confused!:rolleyes:

It might be worth noting that when I ran the Direct3d test in DXdiag it to displayed the cube streched and offset just as dawn of war is doing - is this a task switching problem applicable to the monitor and not the software..just so confused!:rolleyes:
