Dawn of war 4.1 for mod tools?

I was wondering exactly how to get the mod tools to work, I couldnt find anything on the startup menu, or the main menu for winter assault and the original, I found an EXE over the internet, but when I tried to install it it said I needed version "4.1 or greater" (It may have been 1.4), so what do I need to do to access the mod tools?

its version 1.4...do you have 1.4? If not then you need to patch up. I suggest you attempt to connect to gamespy (via the ingame "multiplayer" button) and it will prompt you to download a patch - repeat the process until it stops asking you to dl patches. You will then be patched up to 1.51 and, as a bonus, wont need the CD in the drive to play the game.
