Alright Relic, I've put up with your abuse for too long. I played trough Winter Assault. I even took the travesty that was Company of Heroes like a battered wife. I survived you guys gimping your own mod manager. But this is just the last straw.

The internet game option never worked for me. Automatch would never give me a game, and custom game never showed anything. I was content to blame in on gamespy, but then I realized that GS worked gfine on every other game I played.

But now I have friends over, and you guys managed to screw up the lan games. That's the simplest form of multiplayer in the PC universe, but you guys managed to screw it up. I turn offf every firewall, and even my anticirus, and I still get connection errors, while even the glitchfest that is Heroes of Might and Magic V works fine.

tbh it was probably the lan connection between your computers that was at fault rather than DOW. I mean, we've managed to rig it so that i can play dow with my mates at school over the lan, so i'm sure its possible at home.

sorry cheif its you i have got it two work on a two person lan

i have got it to work online sharing the 1 internet connection between two comps and i have nat bug and a crap dsl-302g modem (shite i got it to work fine playing online with three people on a network sharing the one slow 32KB/s internet connection(usb adsl modem) during dow beta we were able to host 3vs3 games online all the time and play over a lan)

have you done the network test

do all comps have firewalls open/off and av off have you disabled windows firewall

are all comps uptodate with windows xp ie all patches

by the way automatch is a bitch for me as i have nat bug i cant host a automatch game and i can only join some games

if you have a nat bug you cant join any game with a another player behind a nat also ctrl-shift-~ helps alot when join games playin automatch it tells you whats happening:vikingb:

have you tried using a different comp as the host are you using a hub can so share files with all comps

do you each have your own copy and cd/key

not tryin to use warez copies with crackz


p.s i hope you got rid of starforce copyprotecion since you have heros installed. it could be your problem just maybe but probly not
