Flshing screen in campaign mode (Dark Crusdade)

Does anyone else have a similar problem to this?

UK 1.0 DC game, I have DoW/WA and both play fine.

Skirmish mode is fine on DC, but the campaign mode when fired up gives a flashing screen (on the planet screen, and continues on the campaign map - not been able to carry on).

Can anyone help with this? - no-one else seen anything like this?

I have an ATI mobility radeon 9000 graphics card, checked ATI website, but no new drivers that i can see
