Hey guys, I just wanted to post up my first new map.
Before I start making "real" maps, like, ones that are meant to be played as normal maps like the ones we already have, I want to try making some "special scenerio" type maps, and see what gameplay effects work, and which ones are boring or tedious.
So, here is my first scenerio map, "King of the Hill"! I have no-one to test it with, and the computer sucks at this map (He can't figure out how to play it, but I expected it to be like that). So I need help seeing if it is fun, and also for balencing it.
In it, there is only one victory point- and it is in ther german base, which is atop a big hill. The hill has two levels, one containing the german HQs, and the VP, and a second level, which is covered in Hedgehogs, trenches, bunkers, and craters. There is plenty of green cover, and there begins with three garrisonable (but not upgradable) bunkers.
After this hill there is a no-man's-land. So even if you capture the enemy's flags, you will not get resources from them. This area is comprised of the crater-filled base of the hill, then open fields.
Then, is the allied base. It is fenced in and covered by machinegun bunkers. The germans have the only VP, so the allies counter will always slowly be falling. Howver, the allies get much, much more fuel then the germans! This is to allow them to try and smash through the german's strong defenses, before their timer runs out. They get less munitions, however, in an attempt to keep artillery spam to a minimum. Also, they can't build howitzers in the no-man's-land, so they cannot constantly bombard the german's HQs (Howitzers CAN be built in reach of the defence sectors, though).
So! I need you to help me test it. It is low on eyecandy, because, I do not want to put much work into a map that sucks or is not fun. Do I need to readjust the resources? Is the idea even worth the effort? If people end up liking it, I will make another version, with a more professional look to it.
Here is a screenshot of the minimap, although it got a little messed up when I compressed it:

Do I just host the SGB file? Or do I need all of the files that are related? I put everything with the maps name into a zip...
