Notebook, HP nx9420, ATI MOBILE RADEON 1600 - weird problem with 1440x900 res

Hi,

I have played core DoW till today. Today, I have downloaded all patches up to 1.51.

Previously, in ver 1.0, I have set up (inside game options) resultion to my native 1440x900 and it worked flawlessly. Today, after installing 1.51, I run the game and... damn, it crops my screen!! I still can set up my native 1440x900 resolution, but screen seems a bit cropped from the sides (cropped to 1024??).

It can be seen that window has my native resolution (text is very clear as it should be for native resolution), but as I have written above - game options screen and inside game view seem to be cropped from the sided.

I use win xp home, directx 9.0c and newest (downloaded today - AFTER I have seen those problems) video card drivers.

Please help! I need to play DoW but now I cant :(((

Widescreen resolutions are bugged in later versions of DoW, they work properly in Dark Crusade, however.

... i payed for the game and now I cannot play it? What kind of joke is that?

Is this a company policy to introduce a new bug into some patch and then say that it will work properly if I buy a game upgrade ??

I dont work for Relic, I would hope that the widescreen fix will be patched into DoW/WA at a later date.

Beware the later versions of Dark Crusade, hope it'll still support widescreen resolutions... :rofl:
