Greetings all,
My sons play the table top version of WH40K and I have allowed them to play DoW and DoW Winter Assault because I was able to turn the blood off for both of those games.
I can not find a way to turn the blood off in Dark Crusade. Am I missing something?
Thanks for any and all insights!
Torin
I just had a look and there certainly isnt an option in any of the menus, you may be able to set it by changing an ini file...but I wouldnt know how.

You can adjust the violence by opening the "local.ini" file and changing "parentalcontrol=0" to "parentalcontrol=1" or "parentalcontrol=2".
(Click here for a screenshot. (http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/2848/localiniot5.jpg))
(If the variable isn't listed in the file, add it somewhere.)
"local.ini" is located in your Dark Crusade installation folder where the game executable and the GraphicsConfig executable resides.
(for example C:\program files\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\local.ini)
Changing the parental control variable to "1" removes most* of the blood and sync kills can still occur.
(*You may still see small spurts of blood at the beginning of sync kills)
Changing the parental control variable to "2" removes all the blood and sync kills will be disabled, too.
(At least it seems that way, since I tested it with a Wraith, which always enters a sync kill animation when it kills an enemy unit)
The meatchunks (gibs) however, will always drop regardless of the "parentalcontrol" value, because Kroot Carnivores feed on these gibs to increase their health.
I hope that helps.
