And yes i know that code-mods won't be suported. But i still have a Question about what sort of code, from within the game, we can use and manipulate.
First of all, the Field frigate's "field" from HW1, will such a system (code) be includded in HW"?
Second, linking; is it suported? or is there a way to simulate linking via scripting? "i.e. when ship A & ship B are distanced by 1 metres, delete two ships and replace with ship C" and vice versa?
Third, btw, can we call in ships with the LUA system? meaning can we write a script, in which ships are called into the game? "teleporting ships into the game?" in real time, that hasn't been scripted in the map? dynamic ship teleportationing into the game?
i could wait several months (3-4 months), but a very simple, but powerfull, idea i had involving shields and armour went down the drain when i heard that HW2 won't include code mods. So i'd like to know now if i have to scrap other ideas or not, and start to re-think them. i have figured a way around coding for the shield/armor system...thankfully.
Nevertheless, i'd really like to know at present what sorts of code is allowed in HW2, so that we can implement the ideas with greatest effectiveness.
