View Full Version : how to fix the bug: bullets pass through tanks

Hi guys,
I need some help to prevent a damned no realistic bug !!!
Bunkers or all units using bullet weapon can fire through the tanks and kill some squads beside it.
I notice the bullet weapon don't have projectile files in ebps.
I already change the rgd files of tanks in "hit_object_ext"
"projectile_pass_through" to false but there aren't files like "tp_xxxx" for bullet projectile.
Please help me to change the game more realistic....:ballchain

my KMOD v1.4 has tanks that give cover. works like a charm too! as i emailed you after your request for help, i said to use the obj_cover_ext from the AT gun ebps file, have you done that yet?

I released a mod dedicated completly for this matter. It gives tanks green cover and stops bullet. Just as in KMOD (I actually figured this out myself, never tried KMOD... :P)

i try the kmod 1.389 but it doesn't work
i try the obj_cover_ext as done in the kmod or in the tacticalvehiclecover but it doesn't work too.
try it in angonville map, when you have some squad behind a tank like sherman, the bullet of the mg gunner in the bunker pass through the tank to hit behind it. when there is one tank, the visual is realistic because there is one target and the bunker try to hit the tank and there are some deflection.
an idea ????

There is a little option somewhere in that makes the units "shot blocking" (sorta like the block cubes of world builder). But maybe this will interfere with the overall ability to actually... shoot the tank. :P

yes in line_of_sight_ext but doesn't work. try the test in angonville like i said before. i try it with your mod but it doesn't work too.

Explain the scenario... Are we talking MG fire or general fire?
This will be in the 1.5 patch right?

Its not a bug... They problably didnt want tanks to have the ability to stop bullets.

its means that if the MG guy targets a squad behind a tank, you want that to not have any effect, because the tank is in the way right? well there isnt REALLY anything you can do about it. BUT making the tanks give heavy cover is the next best thing.
