I'm playing TA(Tatol Annihilation) recently,and waiting for SC(Not Starcraft,you know,I mean the game will come at 2.20).Yes,it's a game of 1997,but I think it's great.
And I think a game of Warhammer 40K focusing on really big strategy like TA or SC will be even better than them.
The Invasion of nids or 13th crusade of Ab will be great subject of campaign。

first of you have a great taste in games if you like TA (which IMO is THE RTS)
However i doubt relic will do such a thing.
Anyway there is a mod for epic http://dawnofwar.filefront.com/file/Codex_Table_Top_Sim_Epic;33533

And if they can mix the ground battle like TA and space combat like Homeworld....oh,I think this will be a ultimate RTS .Although,I have to admit it seems impossible.

True.
If relic could put DOW and battlefleet gothic into one RTS it would be ultimate.
I suppose we can still dream though:)

Not knocking SC or anything, but what makes it more epic then DoW? I mean... you controlled fewer single units in SC then in Dow. Much less epic scale.
Try out the mod.

We've had this discussion countless times. Relic brought us this version of the Warhammer 40,000 universe because it suited the style of the overall game. Larger units and a larger scale would cause some already bad pathing issues to be worse.
The best place to suggest future implecations into Dawn of War is the Suggestion Box (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=113946)
Other than that, we have what we've been given, a solid RTS.
