Hello all,
Thank you in advance for any and all assistance. I was hoping to start up Winter Assault to play with a friend who does not yet have Dark Crusade. I have the Game-of-the-Year pack with both Dawn of War and Winter Assault, and got Dark Crusade when it was released (incidentally my birthday).
My problem is this: When I insert my CD for Winter Assault and attempt to open the game, I get a pop-up message stating that "A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed."
I have not played online before and know that my software is not patched to be up-to-date. However, it is impossible to patch if I cannot even open the game! Even then, I sincerely doubt that this is an issue dealt with in patches.
If it is a mod issue, I have installed exactly two mods: the Survivor (defense) maps, and the Heroes mod. However, these were both installed into the Dark Crusade directory, and should have little to no bearing on Winter Assault.
I have attached a screenshot indicating my problem.
