New to the forum and the game. Just built my first computer and getting back into some pc gaming.

This game being my first purchase. I couldn't wait to play it. But it seems that when I am playing the game it will randomly crash and send an error report. Now I hope they don't get mad (Relic) because now I have sent around 30 of these reports in the matter of 24 hours! It has crashed every game I have played. Single Player, Online, Skirmish.

It is not my computer. My stats are as follows:

XP
E6600 @ 2.4
GeForce 8800GTS
2GB of OCZ Platinum 2 Revision

Any ideas? I just wanna get through the :censored: game with out having to save every 3 mins.

I understand that games have errors, I don't blame the makers at all. Just curious...

Thanks for a great game Relic/THQ

Can't wait for Crysis/Sins of a Solar Empire/Supreme Commander :Loco:

Bad RAM is a common cause of crashing in DoW - download memtest86 and use it to test your RAM for errors.

It's not bad RAM. I did the test for 6 hours and it passed it everytime. Any other ideas? It's truly annoying because I am only able to get about 5-10 mins of play each time and I haven't even been able to get past the 2nd map playing for the Chaos people.

I can't be the only person with this problem...could I?

My system should handle the game fine.

It might be a driver issue, so I'd recommend installing the latest graphics card driver to start with:

Nope, still crashing for no reason during the game. I actually did update the graphics card. Where are the people who made the game? Wish they came on here.

Any other ideas?

Kill the BDAGENT.exe process (or uninstall Bit Defender 10) and your problem will go away.

Uninstall it? Is there a way to go around that? I don't want to be vulnerable...know what I mean?

And when I chose to kill the process it said it might cause system instability...?

Thanks for helping you guys. I just don't get this.

UberJumper, I did shut BitDefender down and hit still crashed...or is the process still running?

Fixed it bro! THANKS!

Curious though, now that I killed the process...is bitdefender not working???

Search the tech assist forums for BDAGENT and you should come up with some threads discussing what it does... they're in the CoH forum I think.

I don't think it's a required process to keep the antivirus stuff working.
