View Full Version : Dark Crusade Installation under Vista - How to activate other races?

I have just installed Dark Crusade under Windows Vista but neither the installation process nor the game at the first start asked me for my DoW and WA CD-Keys.

Therefore I now can only choose between Necron and Tau in Multiplayer.

Is there any way to add the CD-Keys when the game is already installed so I can play the other races?

I actually did uninstall Dark Crusade and re-installed it again, with the same result. Are there maybe any known issues with installing it in a directory that is not the standard directory?

Thanks for any help!

This might be a silly question...but do you have DoW and WA installed on that system? They must be installed before DC will prompt you for their CD keys (you can delete them to save HDD space after wards if you like - manually delete everything in their install folders except from the exe files).

Hello TBS, thanks a lot for your reply! I did not install DoW and WA before as I thought that DC could be played by itself and was hoping only one installation would be enough as the system was freshly installed.

Installing first the DoW Gold edition (DoW+WA) and then re-installing Dark Crusade did the trick, thanks a lot for you help!

DC can be installed stand alone - but as you found out you only get the two races to play with.
