Hi, I've been attempting to install Dawn of War: Gold Edition a number of times now (using most recent drivers, and windows installer 3.1v2) I find that after getting through the install process up to the cd keys, when it should begin to actually install the game - it closes the program (though dawnofwar.exe continues to run for awhile behind the scenes) and then eventually dissapears altogether. Repeated tries make no difference, playing with the DoW registry files make no difference (ie. checking values and cd keys to be correct, deleting all reg files and trying again, etc)
I was at a LAN when I first attempted to install it and when it didn't work on the discs I tried copying someones directory to my computer but that didn't help (I didn't replicate the reg files though).
I actually found a prior post on the forum with the same problem but he found a work around somehow and the thread ended without suggestion on how to fix it.
I have Dark Crusade installed and working (what I've been playing) but I play Eldar and with DC I can only play Necrons online (can't stand the Tau, even though it feels cheap playing Necrons). Really want to play my Eldar online.
