More than one attack style?

Is it possible to give a ship more than one attack style (like broadside and frontal together, lets say that the ship have it main weapons on sides and a really HUGE lasercannon somewhere in front, that the ship use it only as special ability)??

would be possible if broadside is used for frigs and the super-weapon is used for capital or larger ships (this does make sense, why waste larger weapons for smaller ships?)
Otherwise, I don't have a idea.

If the special weapon is triggered by the player, the ship will turn to bring the hardpoint to bear automatically, I think.
