IGN has posted a new video review of the game, plus some new in-game short movies. From what I can see this game looks like it'll be worth it, though a little rough around the edges.
Ever since it's announcement back in 2201 I've been looking forward to this game and I just can't wait.
Lets all use this thread to talk about the game, its mix of different genre's, what you think it'll be like. Or what your general impressions are from the media I've linked?

Mix of different Genres? It's gotten degraded to a regular, stock standard shooter on rails. They cut the RPG-ish system, afaik, aswell as almost entire eliminated the openness.

Daton not according to most reviews I've read although it isn't as linear as promised, it's certainly not on a rail.

It's a disguised rail. The Quests are still identical, the maps are limited with thin fences. It's wholly ridiculous, when you remember what it was supposed to be like. Missed potential all around (Oblivion all over again).

hmmmm Eurogamer's review describes it as while linear, still with huge areas to explore even if there's no actual reason to. While game developers should be chastised for over hyping their games ultimately that has no bearing on the actual quality of the end product. Even if it isn't as good as promised (what is?) doesn't mean it won't still be good. The atmosphere still looks amazing and it's not been turned into a generic shooter as you describe.

I was excited 10 years ago when I first heard about the game but now Im not really looking into it. With a whole slew of awsome games on their way Im not sure if I care about STALKER anymore.

Since we already have a thread on STALKER, please continue discussion over there. Captain Pierce has already provided a link to that thread but I will provide again for your convenience: http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=138993
