Patch Wont apply...

when i try to patch, it just says it cant find the game installed on my computer then it shuts out...ive searched for answers in FAQ and with Search Function, to no avail...any tips?

start > run > type "regedit" > navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\

Check to make sure that a) that directory exists and b) has stuff in it which looks correct (particularly the InstallLocation field).

interesting, theres only CD Keys listed there...do you think this problem stems from it being installed not on my C drive?

right, heres what I want you to do:

1. Navigate to that registry location - in the main window you see the CD key entries, right click in some blank space in that main window.

2. Select "New" and then "String Value".

3. Name it "InstallLocation" (exactly as I just typed it).

4. Right click on "InstallLocation" and select "Modify".

5. Enter the location where DC is installed as the value data. By default this is:

C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade

As yours is on a different drive then you know what path to put in, I guess its something like D:\Games\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade

6. Click OK.

7. Close regedit and try applying the patch again.

ive paid for customer service worse then this, and not only am i not paying, your not paid (i think). and ive had it take longer. i wasnt here most of the day or it woulda been done even faster

(for anyone reading this thread in the future who is paranoid about using the registry: reinstalling the game would also fix the problem but this is considerably less hassle)

Hi, I have been having the same problem, (running vista and DC) but there is nothing beyond the THQ folder in my regedit.
