Patching freezes?

Trying to install newest patch. Can start it choose my language and after that just sit stuck with no patching going on seeing a nice message telling me "patching in progress..."

Short: Patching seems to freeze.

Any ideas? Enough free space available, game installed properly and working.

+ Do you have DC installed on your C: drive or elsewhere?
+ Did you download the patch externally or through the lobby system?

Yep, tried two different mirrors. Now I am just trying a clean new DC installation and patching through lobby.

Right now I am patching through the online lobby and it just finished successfully. Thanks to all for trying to help and special thanks to stormsong for the hint.

Previous patches have sometimes appeared to freeze (to the extent that they say "not responding" when you click the window) but will recover if you give them sufficient time (often 10 or more minutes on slower machines).

from my experiense previous patches almost always freezed if I ran them from non-game folder and worked ok if I copied them to game folder and ran them from there.
