Hey all, Ive run into a bit of a problem. (Probably heard this one alot of times) *sigh*, I lost my dawn of war CD Key. I got Dark Crusade for christmas and played it for a while. I beat the campaign with all the races, so I decided too have some fun and download a few mods, (Army Painter, Campaign Hero Items).

Only problem is I messed up with the installation of mods (Noob computer guy here), so I decided too fix the problem by deleting all the files related too the mod however I also deleted some important files for Dark Crusade as well. In a nutshell I had too reinstall Dark Crusade BUT my mom had thrown away the instruction booklet figuring I didnt need it. Heck I thought the CD key would be on the cd case but thats just not how it was made. So alas I ask you, what can I do too get my cd key back?

Its been a few months since ive done anything related too DC and Im missing the game. Is there some way I can phone them and let them give me a new one or can I send a special code too the developers via email?

Sorry if I sound like a pirate, noob, idiot. But thanks for any help!

If I'm understanding what you've said correctly, you're missing the manual and the game? Or do you mean that you miss playing the game?

If it's just the manual with the CD key, then you'll probably have to contact THQ and request another one.

Correct I am just missing the manual that is all. Is there some other way instead of waiting for the manual too come up too Canada or can I simply phone them or something. (Rather impatient here)

I seriously doubt they would give out new CD keys to people over the phone.

Moving this over to Tech Assistance.

Your game DVD Case has unique numbers identifying it with which THQ can find out your CD Key - contact them and they should be able to trace your CD Key, or failing that, confirm that it is not in use (if it was stolen), disable the old one, and supply you with a new CD Key that has not been used yet.

If you still have Dawn of War installed I believe you can retrieve your CD-Key via the registry.

Start>run>regedit>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>THQ>Dawn of War> look for "CDKEY".

However if you are not comfortable messing with the registry I wouldn't advise this.

InvisibleStalke : I believe when the Original Poster uninstalled the game, the original CDKeys were removed from the registry too.

Oh I didn't read that he uninstalled the game, just that he deleted some important files which would have not caused any damage to the registry (I don't think). Sorry, I guess it was a judgemental error on my part.

Whats the number for contacting THQ about my cd key?(I live in Canada)

Or is there also a specific email I can have too get some information?

It is all contained within this website (http://info.thq.com/support/). I'd follow the barcode route on that page.
