Been searching a few hours now, and can't find anything specific about the problem I've been having. So far I have tried forwarding ports, disabling firewalls, toyed around with router settings, and nothing has worked.

My situation is a little strange...I receive internet wirelessly from a router. It's a Westell Versalink. The adapter I use is a ZyXEL G220 USB model. When I first tried to get into the multiplayer lobby, I actually had no problems logging in and getting into a game. I played a game but got a sync error right at start, so I researched it on the boards and the common solution was to reinstall the game to get rid of Mods that might conflict (which I had 2 or 3 of them installed).

I uninstalled all of the mods and the game, and reinstalled DC. Now, it won't even let me get past the login. Every attempt ends with either password is incorrect (when I know it is correct, as I haven't forgotten it and even went as far as to make a brand new ID and it still says incorrect sometimes) or it recognizes the correct password and says that I cannot connect and have been disconnected. I have turned off my router firewall and my personal firewall, I have opened all of the ports within my router, and still it persists. I don't understand why I have to do this when it worked fine before I reinstalled. I didn't have to go into my router to open ports, disable any firewalls, and I was still able to get into the lobby AND enter a game.

Stranger still, whenever I attempt to login to the lobby, it kills my internet connection. Sometimes even when I start the game it kills my internet connection. Yes, starting DC will sometimes disconnect me from my network..... :wtf::wtf::wtf:???? Any help would be great, before I have to call up some tech support. If any more information is needed, please let me know what I need to post. I don't know if a warning log is needed because I can't even get to a game, and it isn't crashing or anything.

Strange set of problems there.

dxdiag report and warnings.log (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=57900) file would be useful.

Also if you could run the Network Tester (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=63593) too, that'd be good. Some routers assign a different IP address to computers for no reason at all, so if you had DMZ'd yourself (opened all ports) previously, and then it had changed your IP, the DMZ is not bound to your system, so all ports are blocked.
