LAN Games

Ok, me and my friends play LAN games all the time, we all have our own copies of the game, and it works smoothly, but my brother just got a laptop and I was wondering if you need a different CD key to play a LAN game against someone? I just want to save myself money of buying another copy when I can just give him my disk....any input is appreciated thanks.

you shouldnt have too, but...a few days ago i tried to switch computers and it rejects my cd keys. so id just go ahead and try any way theirs no real reason you should have to rebuy the game.
