Hey,

Me & My Friend are Having some problems playing games in the DoW Lobby.
Sometimes, We Connect and have a good game, this is about 1 in 15 times (we tested 15 times :p), sometimes, we will have "Could not find host", we got this the rest of the time. Also, Sometimes when we finally do get a game working, I get a Sync-Error Detected, but i have no modified content in my folders. He & I can Play with Other People Perfectly (expect for team-betraying n00bz :banghead:).

My Network is Like this: Net -> Router -> Linux Firewall -> Smartswitch -> My Computer. I have opened the relevant ports on my computers firewall, the linux firewall & the Router.

My Friends Network is like this: Net -> University -> Router -> Wireless Hub ~> Laptop. He has Disabled all firewalls on the computer, expect the university one (because he can't).

These are our Net Test Thingamabobs:
My Test:

Sending udp packet from 6112 to 6112
Received from /66.134.89.225:6112 to 6112 "udp pass"

tcp port 6667 Accept timed out
tcp port 28910 Accept timed out
tcp port 29900 Accept timed out

That result shows that most of your ports are firewalled on both PCs. Your friends one if its to a University server is probably unfixable. You need to port forward those ports to your PCs given address

I've been looking around abit, on the net & on computer. so far i have forwarded the ports to the Linux Firewall, but now I need to know how to forward ports from it to my computer. It Runs Fedora Core 6 with Custom IPTables, anyone know how?
