I've read through a TON of the threads but haven't found one geared towards something launched through Steam. I bought (and henceforth downloaded) DoW and DoW:WA after playing the demos available and really getting into them. Now, however, I am having issues with the games coming up. They came up (fullscreen) no problem as the demo, but now I can't get DoW to come up at all, and WA only comes up in a window that will NOT maximize (No matter if I go and change the 'display as a window' in the config. I have tried selected Safe Mode and a few other options, but I am getting fed up! Can anyone out there help me?!? I have made NO changes to the computer between playing the demo just fine, and not getting the game to load up! It pops up, says 'DoW loading...' and then just goes away. Like it SHOULD be there, but it's not.
