Creating account

I'm having some trouble, I just purchased the Dawn of War gold edition, everything is running fine and I've completed up to mission four of the first version of the game without any trouble... but when I went to make my online ID after typing in my e-mail, username, password, etc it just got stuck on the "creating account" screen, this is happening with both Dawn of War and winter assault. I'd really like to play this game online, so any help at all would be really appreciated.

That is usually caused by a firewall blocking DoW from accessing the internet...make sure you have given the DoW executable permissions in your firewall settings.

I put in the exceptions and even disabled my virus protection and the firewall but I still run into the problem. Here's the exact problem:

From the main menu I click Multiplayer -> Online
It then says "Please wait while we connect to your online game". From there I get the login screen which has my default username for singleplayer, but I don't actually have an account & password yet so I click "Create Profile" and fill out the form. After that I click accept and it says "Creating the account with the online lobby system", but it sticks on that screen and never progresses until I eventually have to cancel it. This happens even with my firewall disabled and the virus protection off )':

Ack! I got it to work! I changed my nickname (added a few numbers on the end... hopefully I can create a new account or change it again later) and instead of using my hotmail e-mail address I put in a yahoo.ca e-mail address and it worked. Thanks for your help =3
