OK, all I know is that I viewed a recording of someone who was cheating by changing the timing settings, I then went into WON several weeks later and played a game with Reaver (who will back me up) all the stuff was faster (build times, research, everything). Now I'm just scared. I (for the record) have no experience whatsoever in modding, have never downloaded or used a mod and would never ever cheat. I only looked at the big file once, months before and out of a morbid curiosity, I did not make any modifications accidentally or deliberately. So why am I now cheating? Someone please tell me if the mod can be transmitted through a recording? or if not how did I get it? and how can I fix it? I am majorly freaked out by this!! Please someone help!!!!

Were you watching the recording on fast forward?

No, I'm pretty sure I wasn't.

Another funny thing was that the cheat detect dropped and with this guys recording that didn't happen, which leads me to wonder if they're was any relation at all or it was just a fluke error. Is there someway I could restore my game back to normal regardless?

Sometimes recordings show errors when there are none.

If you are really concerned, you could re-install Homeworld (uninstall it first).

Its not the recording! Its happening to me in the game. I might reinstall it at that.
