Sync Error can't play multiplayer

I joined a room for game and when it started, the game just froze with "Sync Error" on the top, and I got kicked out.

I checked the Program Files to see if there was any error signs, but there weren't any.

Did anyone else face this problem? I tried to play game with my friend twice, but then we gave up and went playing cs.

Sync error means that files dont match between some of the players in the game. If you were playing multiplayer via the multiplayer lobbies you should both be patched up fully so the problem is most likely caused by an old mod. Doing a clean reinstall of the game should fix it (uninstall > delete any leftover files in the install directory > reinstall). Only one of you should need to do this, try playing online with other people to identify which of you has the problem.

man, now I've got to reinstall? aw man... it's probably me because I downloaded a lot of mods and stuff. My friend never downloads mods, his computer sucks.
