Need help! Installing Dark Crusade with Winter Assault without original Dawn of War?

Ok, this problem is not mine, but a friends problem. Couple days ago, he had to format his comp because of viruses and such. Thus, he lost everything(did not have any backup method). Now, we would like to play Dark Crusade online, and the problem is that he found only Winter Assault and Dark Crusade cd-keys, and his favorite race is Imperial Guard. So is it possible to unlock them without the original? I have the cds for them all, so I can lend them to him, but the cd-key is the problem

Yes it is, use the darkcrusade race unlocker. You dont need to install the original two but you will need the cd-keys for the reaces you want to unlock. In your case since you have WA cd-key you can unlock ImperialGuard.

We tested it, didn`t work just with the WA cd-key. Luckily he found his original cd-key for DoW so he could unlock all races

Yeah I wouldnt have expected it to work - the design intention was that you must have DoW and WA installed to play with the original races. As WA requires DoW they arent going to have coded it to check for just WA.
