Odd problem with dark crusade isntallation

I've done a forum search, and come up with nothing that helps. I'm trying to install Dark Crusade on my new PC (Vista 32). Everything works out fine, until it actually starts to install. It gets about 15% into the isntall, and just stops. No error message, it just doesn't do anything. It just sits there. It doesn't even let me cancel it (pressing cancel does absolutely nothing, too).

The disc is not the problem, as I can still install it on my old PC, on both Vista and XP.

I have DC insalled on vista so i cant see that being the problem. Is your DvD drive fine, ie can it install other software fine? Also can you 'open' the disk from your my compuer and see the contents of the disk?

I reccomend copying all of the contents of the DC disk into a folder and installing the game from the .exe in the folder.
