So this really isn't a bug report, or a technical problem, but it is a technical question, so there you go...

Is there any way to dig out the audio files to the DoW games, specifically Dark Crusade? In particular, I'm talking about unit 'voices', rather than the game music or environment sounds. I'm taking a class on electronic music, and was thinking some of the audio might make good samples for an upcoming song.

Anyway, I'm sure it's possible, what with the modding community where it is and all. If this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it. If you have an answer for me, thanks in advance =]

This thread (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=76681) explains how to extract the music - I would imagine that the other sounds can be extracted in the same way. If you need further help then the modding forums are probably the place to ask - they enjoy taking the game apart and figuring out how it all works, here we just try and get it running for everyone :p

What program are you using in your class? I've found .WAV to be easier to work with in both Finale and FLStudio, so see if you can end up with and full and uncompressed .WAV samples.

We're actually using ProTools, so yeah, .wav was what I was intending to use.

And thanks for the link, I'm sure it'll be a lot of help!
