Edit: this was the original goal, but ..well read on and try the mod to find out what it does ;)
This mod will relieve the player of harvesting rus. instead it will be a tactical oriented game style.
all ships, subsystems, research, ect will cost 0 rus, but the build time will be up to 2x longer. the ruls are still the same, except that units are valued for their buildtme only now.
hyperspacing will (if i find right values) be free. but will take loads of time, and your enemy can hyperspace away if need me.
or if that provides a great unbalance in the game stlye then hyperspacing will be the only special action that will cost anything.
players willl start with 10'000 rus and won't be able to harvest.
therefore hyperspacing is pure tactics, and less strategy. pinging also will cost ru's. so one cannot constantly keep track of the enemy's movements.
platforms will be much more epensive, to build (build time, BT) but they will provide a slightly better defence for what they're meant to do.
this doesn't involve much editing, so expect a first version by the end of this week, i.e. friday.

well, first what i did, was set the cost of all subsystems, units, and researches to 0, keeping the build times intact.
i aslo removed the resource collector and controller so that you only have a limited ru suply from which you can hyperjump.
Now normally one would think that this would lead to game where only the BT is important. Yeah, that's what i thought too.
instead, i can build infinite, or semi-infinite units of all classes. the build limitations all drop, regardless of your current su limit. i.e. i could produce 70 BC's with no problem within a few minuits. :devil:
i have several dozen minelayers attacking the enemy.
30bombers+50standard and pulse gunships...all on low unit caps...tactical strike???hrm..maybe i should rename it to overkill supreme :D:D:D
now i dont know, but this definitly smells like a bug or something...
one way i could see around this problem would be to add re res units, and put the cost of all ships at 1 ru. and put the ru storage of collectors to 1, but still have the same harvesting time.
i dont know, what do you guys take of it?

infinate units ^_^ wat i seem to like of it so far =P
would it be posiable to have RU injections? Every ship costs one RU, and you get X RUs a minute.

hope you can fix it coz "overkill supreme" sounds really fun :)
got it to work by removing hgn_interceptor and hgn_ioncannonfrigate properbly some small misstype or some (still tooo lazy to find and fix it) but who needs interceptor anyway when you can have 50 gunship :evil: anyway turn out to be real fun if its 2:40 in the morning and all you wanna do is to blow up some ships maybe you can rename it and release "meat grinder 1.0"? :)

ok the problem is that the ru cost for those two ships is 0
but i forgott/didn't put a xero for the cost.
but what i'd like to kow is why it didn't work as i assumes...:(
i left the build times as they were, but apparently removing the cost completly removes ALL restriction of that unit. Meaning the build restrictions don't apply, all research has been already completed.
now when i'll have time i'll set the cost to 1 for all ships, add collectors and controllers and see if that chages anything.
however ru's aren't suposed to play a role, only for pinging the area, and for hyperspacing...

whoah, I played Kharam Wreck with 3 expert CPUs all on the same team against me.
Needless to say, it reminded me of that movie Enemy at the Gates.

Ships killed: 1118 (yes thats one thousand one hundred eighteen)
Update: When you just delete the files the ships clog up the hiigaran ship production, and the CPU doesnt know not to try to build them. Hiigaran CPU does not work, that means.
