View Full Version : SS doesn't work with dual monitors in Vista

I'm so effing pissed right now about this.

I can't get MouseJail.exe to work as it did in XP with SoulStorm, so my mouse always jumps to my other monitor when trying to scroll to the left in-game in SS.

DC just WORKED. No MouseJail needed in Vista. Now they've gone and fvcked it up with SS. The game is unplayable for me with dual monitors.

And I'm NOT going to disable my second monitor every time I want to play the damn thing.

PATCH THIS.

Or, if anyone can suggest an alternative to MouseJail that works in Vista, or a way to get Vista to recognize MouseJail and use it, PLEASE tell me.

If you so absolutely need your dual-screen gaming, try UltraMon. It's only a 30 day trial, though, or you can pay the $40.

Or get a Nintendo DS.

So let me get this straight, you used to play DC in Windows XP on dual monitors using mousejail, and you have now upgraded to Vista and are trying to Play soulstorm on dual monitors using mousejail and its not working.

You believe SoulStorm to be the cause? HAve you tried in XP?

I got MouseJail working by messing with the target line a bit more. For some reason, the instructions I had pasted into a text doc put the MouseJail.exe at the end, but it worked in Vista with it at the beginning.

My point about SS was that DC did NOT require MouseJail in Vista at all, and then suddenly SS does. So in that respect, they "broke" it in SS. MouseJail is a workaround for a bug. I don't have ANY other games (including CoH) where the mouse jumps monitors in either Vista or XP--it's always been a DoW issue.
