SS Install Data Error?!

Hi. First time poster, long time reader. Well I saw SS at EB Games today so i decided to buy it. Got home. Tried installing it and about 3 quarters into the installation i get this error.

I'm just really ticked off now because I never had an installation problem with the other DOW games and this one is pushing it. :censored: Someone guide me!

I've been trying to install the game for about 4 hours now and i've basically given up. It comes up with this error in the file below. Something about Data2.cab, I don't know.

Could be that the disk is damaged - try copying it to your harddrive manually and installing from there. If you get an error during the copy then you know the disk is bad, you should be able to return it for a replacement.

I get the exact same problem with my install. It kinda pisses me off because I truly do enjoy the DoW games. But the Target I purchased this copy at only had one. So yeah, in a bit of a bind here.

Whelp, bad disk. So I'm off to hopefully return this and get my money back.

TBS u saved my life. I just copied the files from the disk to my HDD and executed the file there. Now i got a problem with the security module could not be activated and cannot run the program. I know there is a thread about that already so i'm gonna check it out. Baine i suggest u try the same thing as i have done.

I did, it failed to copy data2.cab

Baine: like I said, if you get an error whilst copying then the disk itself is damaged, you will have to return it.

I have had the same exact problem. I'll try the save to HDD method and see if it works.
