Well, I've been experiencing some trouble with Soulstorm's graphics... stuff I've never had trouble with in DoW, Winter Assault, or Dark Crusade... namely, the opening cinematic. It gets really choppy at times, so bad that the dialogue doesn't sync properly. There's a similar problem with the campaign map. The sound for the menu will play a full fifteen to twenty seconds before the screen has even loaded. Am I the only one experiencing this? It's a little troubling, because this laptop I'm using has 1024 MB of DDR2 SDRAM, and I haven't had trouble like this with more graphics-intense games than Dawn of War.
I've tried a number of things, including defragging, cleaning the disc, and running on low graphics settings, but the problem remains the same. There's a bit of choppiness at the main menu screen too, where the animations of the hero displayed look a little strained.
In-game it isn't really noticeable (aside from long load times, which it seems everyone suffers from) but this has been really bugging me nevertheless.
