Patches dont work.

Ive had my DoW games up and running online fine before. i decided to do a complete reinstall of my computer, and have installed the anthology on my pc again. however, now when i try to connect online, it just says download patch 100% and stays there.

I got the patches online on the internet instead and ive got the dark crusade patches working fine. however i cannot get the first patch to work for the original dawn of war. ive tried the US and international versions, and my computer just says that i am using the wrong version.

I was wondering if anyoune else had this problem and if anyone is able to help.

Its the oriinal dawn of war, but its the goty version if it makes any difference, thanks.

I'm not sure if they do make difference but anyway, try this.. assuming that your using an english version. Just a liittle reminder: do not do anything after u've installed it, that includes installing mods or No-CD cracks.

Download md5sums here: md5sums (http://www.pc-tools.net/win32/md5sums/)
1.copy it to where u saved ur patch( extract the md5sums here), ur starting from 1.01 right?
2.run 'cmd' and go to the folder where u saved them.
3.now that ur in the folder in cmd, type "md5sums" "space" "dow_english_101.exe" without the quotes.

check if the cheksum is similar to this: 0d0e1246273557d159a387509f343062

it means its a valid patch andif ur getting diff. one, download it somewhere else. i think the forum has the site for them.

goty edition is already at 1.4 iirc, try patching from 1.41
