*DC* CD KEY help needed please

First of all i have read a few threads on this and i cant seem to get it to work... i have reinstalled twice also and that isnt working either.

I have just got dark crusade from game and it was shrink wrapped etc... brand new, i come to play online and i keep getting "CD authentication failed"


any ideas?

i have tried that and checked it in regedit for all the DoW games keys and it still isnt being accepted and i have reinstalled and checked, double checked etc...

What are you refering to ad warez?
From what ive picked up, elite has just bought a new legit copy of DC and he has an error. Making alternations to the regedits is not illegal. Sometimes you get errors within the regestry of the game that causes problems.

Anyway, elite, try the Net tester (http://66.134.89.225/~sic/nettest.html). There could be a problem with you connecting to gamespy, stopping it from autherising your CD.

but i been playing WA all morning that works fine =(

ok so i just exchanged my copy of dark crusade for a new one and i get home and reinstall with new CD key and it still says "CD Authentication Failed"

like why.... its doing my head in now....

ideas...

EDIT: Just tried to play campaign and now that starts to load then i get a crash to desktop :(
