i dunno if any of you already new this, but to simplify my research project, i modified the starting fleet so that my mothership had all modules to start with, so that i could easily test the researches, well, i screwed it up the first time, and the game claimed i had been defeated at the very start of the game, however, it also asked if i'd like to continue and watch the game, i accepted, and omg, hehe, i could sit there, with full view of EVERYTHING, the perfect way to check the balance of a mod, see if one AI owns the other with it...after all, with no player in the game, its a fair and level AI only game, heh
im not certain, but i think my error caused the game to invalidate my starting fleet, and start me with nothing, hence defeated
