Recently I was observing a replay.... realy funny one :corn:
One of the guys played Tau and went for motka path t4... i was just like "cool, HH ftw!" and after a minute or two they were already pwning the enemy...
But I nearly fell asleep when i saw how long they were destroying the HQ... how can this be?
acording to wiki:
HH railgun:
dmg vs. buildings 63(low) 23(medium) 19(heavy) dmg/s
in comparison to that a predator twin lasgun:
dmg vs. buildings 154(low) 68(medium) 78(heavy) dmg/s

I realise that this might be some sort of "balance", but i just go :screwy: when i watch that MEGA gun cuting vehicles like paper and then killing a building nearly a hour or two
Is it because the vehicle is made from metal and the building from bricks(stone)???

So you want the already uber Hammerheads to take down HQ buildings in seconds too?

ah yea autodidact is right!!! every one loves waiting and waiting and waiting to take out some ones base when theyv already lost a game

uber Hammerheads?! cmon... they are not imba... and i wasn't talking about seconds...
adleast it would be nice to take all the building damage from those burst cannons and put it on the Big gun... just for the efect:)
Look at monolith for example.... when it is activated, it dies in 30 seconds to the fire of 2 HH, but when it isnt active it takes hours to kill it, even SS do more dmg....

How exactly is this a balance issue?

I think the proper balance solution is to nerf Predator lascannon to the anti-building dps of Hammerhead railgun. >:D

IF i look corectly at wiki now i see that all other t4 tank do nearly no damage to buildings too.... weird....
Ok... nerf marine predators :D

And if you check again you'll see that Preds do less damage to vehicles (isn't that what really matters?), I'd trade good AB for good AV any day.

I think that Skyrays would better suit the building-destroyer role for Tau. That'd keep them from becoming redundant in later games. Hammerheads would not need to be adjusted.

The Hammerhead is not underpowered because of the damage its railgun does to buildings.
