Belkin F5D7230-4 iv never had a problem with forwarding or any thign to do with ports on any game befor ecept this 1 and i though normaly you only had to forward if you want to host not connect multiplayer to a game

It may be a problem with software on your computer. You say youve tried turning off your firewall but do you have any antivirus software installed? If so try disabling this aswell as your firewall and see what happens.

You could also try updating your routers firmware . I found a helpful article on belkins official website that may be of use to you;

Searching for a New Version of Firmware
From http://www.belkin.com/support/, type the Belkin part number “F5D7230-4” in the “Search” field. Click “Search”.

Downloading a New Version of Firmware

From the results page, click “F5D7230-4”.

Scroll down to the Software & Updates section. Click on "F5D7230-4 Firmware Update".

Locate the firmware that corresponds to you routers version number. To download the new version of firmware, click the download logo.

A window will open that allows you to select the location where you want to save the firmware file. Select a location. You can name the file anything you want, or use the default name. Be sure to save the file in a place where you can locate it later. Note: We suggest saving this to your desktop to make it easy to locate the file. When you have selected the location, click “Save”.

The download of the firmware is complete. To update the firmware,
follow the next steps in “Updating the Router’s Firmware”.

Updating the Router’s Firmware

Open the Router's interface page, (Open your web browser and goto http://192.168.2.1), and click on Firmware update on the left hand menu.

In the “Firmware Update” page, click “Browse”. A window will open that allows
you to select the location of the firmware update file.

Browse to the firmware file you downloaded. Select the file by double-clicking on
the file name.

The “Update Firmware” box will now display the location and name of the firmware file you just selected. Click “Update”.

You will be asked if you are sure you want to continue. Click “OK”.

You will see one more message. This message tells you that the Router may not respond for as long as one minute as the firmware is loaded into the Router and
the Router is rebooted. Click “OK”.

A 60-second countdown will appear on the screen. When the countdown reaches zero, the Router’s firmware update will be complete. The Router’s home page should appear automatically. If not, type in the Router’s address (default = 192.168.2.1) into the address bar of your web browser.

The firmware update is complete.

I have the same issue.

I also pass the test:
Sending udp packet from 6112 to 6112
Received from /66.134.89.225:6112 to 6112 "NAT detected"
Received from /66.134.89.225:6500 to 6500 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:27900 to 27900 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:27901 to 27901 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:29910 to 29910 "udp pass"

I updated my router to latest version.
Router Thomson SpeedTouch 780WL

Forwarded all ports mentioned for DoW and gamespy on http://portforward.com/

Tested UPnP on and off.
Turned off router firewall.
Turned off winxp firewall.

UPDATED:
Fixed issue. :jig:
I used DMZ option..... while there is no option literately called DMZ (like most routers do have) in my router, the option here is the same:
Home > Home Network > Devices > Assign Public IP (if you own a Thomson SpeedTouch 780WL )

I can now joint everygame in the lobby.

Just a word of warning ghodan, with DMZ you become more open to viruses and attackes. It is recommended to take your router out of DMZ mode when you are finished.

I recently found that if you have one of the gateway type systems it helps if you do not set up the portforward through network connections in windows. From what I understand the portforward works us such:
Router>forward (through 192.168.XXX.XXX)>Modem>forward (through Network Connections/Static IP)>PC

In the gateways the Router/Modem are one unit so if you do the static IP thing it seems to mess up the portforward. It should be
Router>forward (through 192.168.XXX.XXX)>PC

Also I only forwarded 6112 and not bothered with the other ports. It works great now!

Most small games like 1 v 1's i can join, and I can pretty much observe any game no matter how many people are watching, but I also have problems joining team games. I can usually get into a team game if im the 1st or 2nd person to join, after that it seems to be down to sheer luck. I also have ports forwarded etc, but im not prepared to disable DMZ. I also find, one moment I can join a mates game, and after the match it is then impossible to join. Sorry if this is a nooby question, but does having a Wireless router have any effect on this?
