Hey All,
For those who want to use all races up to Dark Crusade or Soulstorm and hate to have to install 5 cd's and 2 dvd's and lose a lot of harddisk space and time this is for you.
I started this because I got pretty annoid that in order to access all races in Dark Crusade I had to install both DoW and Winter Assault while the content itself was never used. It just cost me a lot of extra drivespace and above all al lot of time to install (3x CD DoW + 2x CD WA + 1x DVD Dark Crusade and now with soulstorm another DVD).
So I decided to find an easier way.
In order to run Dark Crusade or Soulstorm with all previous races for multiplay, Dow only requires the .exe files and some registry information, and nothing more. So I extracted this registry info and the .exe files (you cannot get them of the cd/dvd easily because they are inside the .cab files so you would still need to install the whole thing)

If you want to install Soulstorm with access to all previous races you need this:
kerrigan.student.utwente.nl/download/Warhammer40Kinstall-Soulstorm.rar
If you want to install Dark Crusade with access to all previous races you need this:
kerrigan.student.utwente.nl/download/Warhammer40Kinstall-DarkCrusade.rar
(for some reason I couldn't post with the URL in correct form so you will need to copy the URL in your browser manually)
download and extract the file (you will need winrar, 7zip or winace to extract it)
read included README for detailed instructions.
In short you install only Soulstorm or Dark Crusade
You put the .exe files somewhere on your harddrive
you edit the included registry files (.reg) with notepad to include the correct path to these .exe files and your cd-keys
you inport the reg file into your registry
NOTES:
-You need to have the serials from your original DoW/WA/DarkCrusade games, cracked versions will NOT give you access to all races on-line with this !!!!!
-Because you don't install DoW/WA(/DC) you also cannot run the single player campaigns of these packages nor can you start a multiplayer game with only DoW/WA(/DC), you only get access to all races in the game you do install.
-These packages were tested under Windows 2003 x86, Windows 2003 x64 and Windows Vista x64 English, however these should work with all XP/2003/Vista installs.
-I made these for myself and for a friend and he suggested to put it on-line for other people to use which I think is great, however I have not searched the forums if this has already been done since I registered on the forum only to make this available.
-I hope you enjoy this, I know I do.
-After you edit the registry files make a backup of it and store it in a secure location so you can use them again without editing or looking up your keys, you will only need this package and the latest DVD with key.
